Albert Bridge, Incoming Tide is an original urban landscape painting of the iconic Albert Bridge spanning the river Thames in London on a warm, sunny September afternoon. I was inspired by the sunlight highlighting the white and pastel coloured structure of the bridge against a blue sky, whilst the river below was rapidly rising due to the incoming tide. There is a small detail in the painting of a Union jack being at half-mast for HM Queen Elizabeth II, as it was on the day in mid-September when I visited to collect my reference images.
The painting is 50cm x 60cm, painted in oils on canvas board and is framed in a wooden frame painted ammonite white with a white inner edge. Framed size 63.5cm x 73.5cm x 3cm
