Following seven months 'between' studios, after my last was lost to the march of redevelopment, February marked an exciting new chapter when I moved into my new artistic home in the newly built Turville Studios! Though the weather did it's best to hamper moving in day with heavy snow during the early hours of 1st February!
But we managed it and seven varied artists now occupy the six studios nestled into the foot of a hill in the beautiful Chilterns village of Turville - often used as a filming location for well known productions such as Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Vicar of Dibley, Mr Tom, Midsommer Murders and recently 'Killing Eve' to name a few!
We had a fabulous opening day on 23rd Feb when we had simply invited locals and nearby friends and family as we were concerned about the weather, but it turned out to be like a summer's day, and a fabulous day!
The studios are in the most wonderful location and alongside my still life painting I am really inspired to bring the landscape into my work again. Turville and the surrounding area are lovely to visit and visitors are welcome at the studios, though please contact me beforehand to make sure I am available as may well be out on the hills gaining inspiration!
